When trying to play the Simpsons (tv show) I'm shown a region error.

-I'm in the US

-Not using a VPN

-Show plays fine on my phone on same network

-Simpsons (movie) will play

-Have "turned it off and back on again", uninstalled/reinstalled, and removing/adding

-unable to cast from iphone (seriously?!?!!?)

Hi there!

I appreciate you taking the time to post this over the community space.

Based on the information provided, it seems that there might be a discrepancy between your Nest Hub Max's perceived location and your actual location. This could be due to a few factors:

  • Geo-location data: The device might be receiving inaccurate geolocation data from your ISP or other sources.
  • Network configuration: There could be a misconfiguration in your network settings that is interfering with the device's ability to determine its location.
  • Disney+ app issue: While less likely, there might be a specific bug in the Disney+ app on your Nest Hub Max that is causing the region error.

To further troubleshoot this issue, I recommend the following:

  1. Check your network settings: Ensure that your router is configured correctly and that there are no firewalls or security settings blocking access to Disney+.
  2. Try a different network: Connect your Nest Hub Max to a different Wi-Fi network or use mobile data to see if the issue persists.
  3. Clear app cache and data: Go to the device settings and clear the cache and data for the Disney+ app.
  4. Factory reset (last resort): As a last resort, you can try factory resetting your Nest Hub Max. However, this will erase all of your device's data and settings, so make sure to back up any important information before proceeding.

Hope this helps!
Brandon.
