Nest Hub Max camera person spotted notification

Dan_O

I have two Google accounts linked to my phone. Both of them utilize the Google home app. I also have a nest cam, and a nest hub max. After transferring the nest camera control to the home app from The nest app, now I get duplicate notifications from the home app when someone is spotted on the hub Max. I would like to stop getting notifications for "person spotted" from the home app, but only for one account.

Hi @Dan_O!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest Hub Max. I can see that in your phone you have two different Google accounts that work with the Google Home app. However, when the Nest Hub Max detects a person in front of it, it sends a notification to each account, and then you receive a double notification for the same event. Let me help you with this.

To solve the issue, I need you to follow the next steps to turn off the notifications in one of the accounts:

  • Make sure that you are signed in to the account where the Nest Hub Max is not linked to.
  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Settings, go to Notification, and then go to General Notifications.
  • Toggle off People and devices notifications.

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.

I've already turned them all off.

Hi @Dan_O!

Thanks for your reply.

I can see that you've already turned off the notifications. Are you still receiving the double notification from the Nest Hub Max in your phone? If so, you can try to delete the account where the Nest Hub Max is not connected from your phone and add it back.

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.
