I just moved to a new apartment and cannot connect to my Nest Hub Max. I keep getting to the connecting Wi-Fi page of the setup but then it will say “connected” but then go straight to this message: “Something went wrong - Room Display may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone's privacy settings. Then try again.”
I have disconnected the Wi-Fi and reconnected. Factory reset many times. Unplugged and plugged back in 11 times. Deleted the google home app and redownloaded. Doing these things let me successfully connect to my mini but not my Nest Hub Max.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I think I made the mistake of not deleting it from my last apartments Wi-Fi before moving. But help!

Hi StephanieAnn,
That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s get this sorted out. Are you using shared Wi-Fi in that new apartment? Have you tried to toggle the local network for the Google Home app in your phone’s settings? If you have another phone or tablet, try to use it for the initial set-up and see how it goes.
Regards,
Alex
