Nest Hub Max won't stream all cameras

I can only stream 6 of my 8 cameras on the Nest Hub Max. The 2 that doesn't stream show up fine on my phone in Google "Home" app. These are Lorex brand cameras and their app shows the cameras fine. The Nest Hub Max would try to start streaming but then show a blank screen.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to know that you're having issues trying to stream your cameras on your Nest hub.Don't worry, I'm here to help. To help diagnose the issue, could you tell me:

  • Are the two non-streaming cameras the same brand and model as your other cameras?
  • Do you see any error messages when you try to stream these specific cameras?

It's possible there might be a compatibility issue. You can check the official Lorex website for a list of cameras compatible with Google products. In the meantime, this article provides instructions on how to stream your security camera using your Google Nest display.

Thanks for your reply. The cameras are the same as the rest. They came in a package. They all work off a base unit. There is no error message. It just says lorex camera on the screen. That's it. And it just stays blank. These cameras work perfectly with the lorex home app and they show perfectly from the base unit when a monitor is plugged in

Since Lorex cameras appear to be compatible with Google products, let's check some information between your cameras and Nest hub:

  • Please make sure your cameras are connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Display.
  • Make sure your Nest Hub Max is running the latest software version.
  • Reboot your display: Power cycle your Nest Hub Max by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in.
  • Say the command "Hey Google, sync all my devices" to synchronize all connected devices under your account.
