Nest Hub Max

I have a Google nest hub Max that was connected to my home network. For some reason, it stopped connecting, so I removed the power from it for a couple hours. When I reconnected the power, the device would not reconnect to my Wi-Fi. I did a factory reset on the device, and it still won’t reconnect my Wi-Fi. Sometimes, when I try to reconnect, I get a message on my Google Home app, saying the device is connected to another home and needs to be removed. I’ve deleted My Home, my Google Home app, and erased all settings in an effort to get it to reconnect and nothing works.  For some reason, it’s saying it’s still connected to another network and that I need to remove it, but it’s not showing up on my current Home network.

Hi Eclindgren,

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear about this situation with your Nest Hub Max.  No worries, help is here! Please try the next steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Unplug the power cord.
  2. Hold down the volume buttons and plug in the power cord at the same time. While you plug the power cord back in.
  3. Wait for the device to turn on.
  4. Release the volume buttons.
  5. Once the device is in recovery mode, press and hold both volume buttons for 10 seconds.

If the device doesn't recover or the screen becomes black, please fill out this form and an agent will get in touch with you as soon as possible for further troubleshooting.

Regards,

Axel.

Got an e-mail from a Google rep named Axel giving instructions on how to reset the device using recovery mode. Followed the instructions he sent and it still doesn't work. Replied to him advising him that didn't work, awaiting reply.
