Nest Hub doesn't swap to clock at night

My nest hub used to automatically dim at night and display the time. Now it just dims the screen but leaves my photos displayed all night. 

If I unplug it and plug it back in it works for a few days and then reverts to dimming Google photos.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Have you already checked the display as well as the photo frame settings of your Google Nest Hub? To do that, you can follow these easy steps:

 

Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings and then Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.

Nest display:

  1. From the bottom of your Nest display screen, swipe up.
  2. Tap Settings .
  3. Tap Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.

If you have Voice Match enabled, you can also say “Hey Google, change Photo frame” to open Photo frame settings on your Nest display.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried those things and it works for a week or two, and then it stops changing to the clock at night, and it disturbs my sleep

Thanks for responding. 

 

Have you already checked the ambient settings of your Nest display? Swipe up the bottom of the screen and tap the "sun" icon. Make sure that there's an A inside the sun icon.

Yes tried the suggestions, but it is an intermittent fault. Highly frustrating.

I am under warranty. Can I get a repair or replacement?
