Nest Hub not singing “brush your teeth song”

We’ve become fond of asking Google to sing the “brush your teeth” song but as of last night it is no longer working. It’s trying to find a song on the internet instead of singing the native song on the speaker.

We have the same problem.  It's incredibly frustrating that this hasn't been resolved, but infuriating that there seems to be NO answer or rationale for this change 😠

Having the exact same problem. My Google either replies with "sorry, I don't understand" or "I'd love to hear you sing". Maybe it got removed altogether like every actual feature Google's added, then removed? 🙁

It's back!!! It started working on all our devices again this morning.

Thanks for everyone who commented and submitted feedback.

They are!!!! I am so happy!

Some of the commands are a bit different for us now ("Hey Google, help me brush my teeth" still doesn't work) but we will happily work with modified commands instead of the convoluted workaround we were using before!

Would you mind sharing what commands have and haven't worked for you? Thanks!

Commands that work:
"Hey Google, sing the brush your teeth song"
"Hey Google, help me clean up"
"Hey Google, sing the clean up song"
"Hey Google, sing the bedtime song"

These work, but in an unpredictable way:

"Hey Google, help me wash my hands"
"Hey Google, help me wash"
"Hey Google, sing the wash your hands song"
Sometimes it sings a song, but sometimes it plays instrumental music as a timer instead. There are a couple of different songs as well, so if you have a person with a favourite, they might need to try a command a few times to get the version they were hoping for.

Commands that *do not* work:
"Hey Google, play the brush your teeth song" (opens Spotify and plays random tooth songs)
"Hey Google, help me brush my teeth" (suggests a timer)
"Hey Google, brush my teeth" (suggests a timer)
"Hey Google, play the clean up song" (opens Spotify and plays random cleaning songs)
"Hey Google, play the bedtime song" (opens Spotify and plays random lullabies)
"Hey Google, sing me to sleep" (opens Spotify and plays random lullabies)

I just say "hey Google sing  the xyz song". I don't have anything connected to play music on my Google other than Pandora.
