Nest Hub talk feature to cameras

Hi there! 

I have the Google Nest Hub Max and Goggle Hub. I am able to communicate with people at the doorbell but not to the Nest wireless cameras from the hub but I can do so from my cell phone using the Google Home App. I would like to be able to talk to ALL my next cameras and not just the doorbell from the Hubs. How can I do this? Do I need to download the Nest Home App to the hubs and if so how? Also, I tried to broadcast a message to the cameras as I figured because I am unable to use the hub to talk maybe I can broadcast it and that option is also unavailable. Please advise on next steps because this is extremely frustrating as I don’t always have my cellphone with me in my home and use it to monitor and communicate with my family as we live in a 3 level home.

Unlike on our phones, our Google Nest Hubs do not have the ability to communicate with people on our Google Nest cameras; only for our doorbells do we have a microphone option on our Nest Hubs.

Adding to the answer by MplsCustomer, if you want to communicate between Google Home or Google Nest speakers or displays then this can be done using Google Duo.

Hi there! Google Duo is not for Nest Cameras only Hub to Hub or phone. Thank you!

I suggested this because the Google Nest hub max includes a Nest camera. You could communicate between your Nest Hub Max and your Nest hub using Duo.

Hi there! I am aware that I can use duo to communicate from hub to hub. However, my question was how can I communicate to my Nest cameras via the hub. Do I need to download something extra? It seems like a practical feature since it can be done with the doorbell and via your cellphone. It’s just more convenient at times to use the hub.

While you can talk to your Nest Doorbell using your Google Nest Hub, communicating to your Nest Camera using your Nest Hub isn't supported.
