Nest Hub wakes up my toddler at 2 am and Google has no idea why

My wife and I have asked Google to turn on/off the lights in my sons room. (2 year old) Google assistant responds with Ok Google will turn on the Gideons Room Lamp at 2 am. I have looked through routines on both my phone and my wifes and on our Nest Hub. There are no routines listed but come 2 am and the lights in my 2 year olds room comes on and wake him up. I've contacted google now twice and they have not been able to give me an answer or solution for this other than to reset the Google Nest device. I am about ready to toss all of it out of the window. I had alot of hopes for this but i dont understand why this keeps happening.

Hi gcreswell1988,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us.

I genuinely understand the inconvenience you have faced. I am in this right away. Could you provide me with the case number when you contacted our support so we can further check? Also, check the my activity section and see the entry your Google assistant is getting every 2 AM. Check the steps below on how to go there.

Check Google Assistant activity history

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. At the top-right, tap the account.
  3. Tap My Activity.

You can try to set up your Nest Hub to another home structure and see if it will make a difference. Check the steps below on hot to create a new home.

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Tap Add .
  3. Tap Create new home.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Juni
