Hello All,
I now have 2x Google Nest Mini 2's not able to be added to the Google Home app.
I have had these units working flawlessly - other than some minor issues with the router locking up requiring restart - but now they are refusing to connect.
I have tried restarting the units (disconnecting power and leaving for a few minutes before powering them back up), restarting the router, factory restarting the Nest Mini 2's and nothing is working.
I can find the devices and connect to them (even get the sound playing when found), but when I try to add them, I get an error - "Connection problem during setup........ Please check your password".
I have checked the password and every other device in my house is able to connect, just not these two nest mini's - I also have other nest minis and a nest audio that are able to connect.
Anyone have a solution? I thought maybe the Wifi card/chip in the units might have gone, but I am able to connect to them directly - Just not able to get Google Home to add them.
Any help would be appreciated 🙂

I have the same problem been trying for 2 days they have just completely come off the network after a week away and will not connect back up, I'm checking with my Internet provider to run some checks at the end to see if there is any issues.

Myself and a friend are having the same issues. I have followed all troubleshooting steps from factory resetting to restarting the router. Seems like its across the board for everyone? Anyone had any luck with getting theirs to reconnect? It was fine before the weekend for me.

It might be worth getting hold of your Internet provider to run and few line tests my router is fine but there is an issue with the wire to connection so I have an engineer coming today to see if that helps... so frustrating!

Doubt my issue is with the ISP. I'm on FTTP and every other device (including some more Nest Mini's) are working just fine.

Very strange my 2 next minis won't connect I'm currently getting talk talk to run some like tests just to double check that end...but they were working fine a week ago....I'm baffled tried everything lol

Who is your internet provider and do you have an app for your router ? I was finding my nests were connecting to the Internet but not in the home app...In the end it was to do with advance settings on the router not allowing to googles to connect!

Hi Bill,
I'm with More Internet. No app for the router that I know of. I haven't changed any settings on the router for years. Would be weird if there was suddenly something changed or this be the reason. From what I can see after looking, everything should be fine.

I've read on another thread it was due to an update done thurs/friday which lines up perfectly when mine stopped working. But will be contacting EERO now to see what the hell is going on.

Guys if you are with Talk Talk and you have the Eero app on your phone turn off the advanced settings on.the app and your Google should reconnect!
