This device worked previously until I could no longer add it to a group.
This lead me to factory reset it as I ran out of options.
Now it fails to connect to cloud and shows disconnected in Google home app.
I tried deleting my home, resetting the nest 5 times, power cycle my router. I spent 4 hours with Google support.
It has internet and wifi connectivity however. This is confirmed because I can control it's volume in the app, I can also issue commands to it and play music and ask it questions and control my lights. However it says it's "offline" in the Google home app, and I can't configure any of it's settings (it errors out)
Confirming it has no cloud access is that I can only control this speaker from the Google home app when my phone is connected to local wifi - when I am on mobile data it says my nest mini is unavailable
I have many other nest devices that all work fine. I also tried resetting some other nest minis and they set up fine.
This particular nest mini has a newer firmware. It has the newest firmware of the lot. I suspect the devices firmware is the cause as that is the only outlier. (I have 4x nest minis, only one is affected)

To add.
I have also tried setting this device up on mobile hotspot. (To eliminate my ISP/router). The same problem occurred.
I also set this device up on a new Google account, to eliminate my account as the cause. Same error occurred.
This leads me to believe the only possible culprit is the device itself. Each and every other avenue was eliminated during my support chat with Google.

Adding this as reference. It appears many users are affected by this bug now.

This broken device received a new firmware update. It appears not to fix the issue however.
I think Google is working on a fix.

Any progress? I do not want to reset all devices (router, mobile..)
