Have green light on in doorbell. Camera and audio both work. 23.7 volts at doorbell. Press the button and doorbell lights up white circle and it chimes but not the indoor chime.

Several customers in this forum have reported problems with the "chime puck" for the 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell that causes the internal doorbell chime to fail to ring. Some have had to get the entire doorbell replaced in order to get a working "chime puck".
Here are a couple of the other posts:

Thanks for the reply. Was on phone to Google for an hour and they passed me to tech support. All they could do is set up a service call which they don't do in Canada. I then found a reply where they disconnected the chime puck. i tried this and bingo it works. Don't know if it will cause any damage but so far so good.

On this page (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132?hl=en), Google Nest says:
"The Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen) and Nest Doorbell (wired) must be installed with the chime connector included in the box....The chime connector allows the chime's wires to deliver constant power to the Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen) and Nest Doorbell (wired) and protects your chime from damage."
I'm just another Google Nest customer and don't know how your doorbell and chime (and that of some other customers) manage to work WITHOUT the "chime puck". In addition, some customers have received the old 4-wire "chime connector" from the older Google Nest Hello Doorbell as a replacement for the 2-wire "chime puck" that comes with the 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell.
Perhaps Google Nest Support could clarify the situation.
