Nest hub sensing sensing time resolution

One of the reasons I got the Nest Hub was the sleep sensing. I could get an exact respiratory rate value every 8 minutes in the graph. There was no way to get a finer resolution though the shape of the curve suggest the plot is fine resolution. Does anyone know how much averaging is going on? Thanks

As Sleep Sensing gets to know your sleep patterns, you receive personalized insights and tips to improve your sleep.

 

Let's make sure that these steps are done:

 

Set up Sleep Sensing

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings .
  4. Tap Sleep Sensing and then Set up Sleep Sensing.
  5. To allow Sleep Sensing on your display, follow the in-app instructions.
  6. Tap Set a bedtime schedule.
  7. Choose what time you plan to regularly go to bed and wake up.
  8. Optional: The following features can be turned on to provide you with additional information to better track your sleep and give you educational sleep tips:
    • Set up sound events tracking
    • Personalized sleep suggestion
  9. To finish setup, calibrate your sleep spot.

To use Sleep Sensing, you need to calibrate your display to recognize where you sleep.

  1. From the bottom of your display, swipe up.
  2. Tap Settings and then make sure Motion Sense is on.
  3. Tap Sleep Sensing and then make sure Sleep Sensing is on and then Calibrate device.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions on your display.
