Nest hub (2nd gen) beeping

Dear All,

My nest hub is beeping (two beeps, five within a cycle which repeats three times) every hour and I have really no clue why. I have tried unplugging, removing device from google home, factory reset, entering DND mode, muting everything, disabling every single feature in Google home but all these efforts failed. I don't have any Bluetooth devices, any alarms, any routines or literally anything. I also tried rebooting network and removing Google Home cache. Except for beeping, the nest hub doesn't provide any information about why it is beeping. Does anyone have a clue what might be a reason here?

Thanks in advance!:)

Radek

I think you haven't gotten any responses because this is such odd behavior.

You could try contacting Support using the link and instructions in the post below to see if you have a Nest Hub that Google Nest needs to replace:

Hi there,

Although no-one is posting here, I'm still struggling. I have few updates - I removed all associated apps and devices, I kicked my wife out of the house, reinstalled the app and keep resetting the cache. I connected the WiFi to 5ghz or 2.4 GHz, tried with completely different account and nothing helped. The hilarious situation was that it still beeps even after factory reset and WITHOUT being connected to any WiFi nor Google Home!

My ideas are all out - I would appreciate some help from the Google community! 🙂

Cheers!

Radek

Dear MplsCustomer,

Thank you for your suggestion! I turned off the adapter finding it beeps even without electricity. As you might guess, it wasn't the nest hub, but a device reminding to change water filter hidden in a box on which my nest hub is standing on 😂

Well, silly me and now I have to reinvite my wife 😂
