My Nest hub 2nd gen keeps loading with the four dots rotating at the center of the screen. The system on this device cannot start even having a reboot on the device gives no hope, the same: keeping loading. Please help.

Hi @Chilli0v0,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Hub (2nd Gen) is stuck loading with four dots at the center of the screen. I understand how concerning it is that the Nest Hub's system is unable to start, even after a reboot. I'd be happy to help!

To better investigate the inconvenience, I'd like to ask the following:

  • When did you first notice the four dots at the center of the screen?
  • Was the device already in this state when you first discovered it? If not, was the device in use when it happened?
  • Did you unplug the device, or was there a power outage shortly before you discovered the issue?
  • Are you using the original power adapter that came with the Nest Hub (2nd Gen)?

In the meantime, I suggest attempting to put the device into recovery mode with the following steps:

  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Hold down the volume buttons and plug in the power cord at the same time.
  • Wait for the device to turn on.
  • Release the volume buttons.
  • Once the device is in recovery mode, attempt a factory reset.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
