Nest hub crashes constantly

Hello

My nest hub 2gen keeps crashing and making scary scratch sound in full volume

I've tried to reboot, factory reset and update for several times now.

 

What can be done?

Hi Moti_Hart,

 

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: 

 

  • When did your issue begin?
  • Were there any recent changes made?
  • When you did the reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link?
  • What is the exact error message?
  • Is there an LED light indicating if the device is either listening or thinking?

It all started few weeks ago, i did the reset the same way as the link and there is no error message or led light.

It is very frustrating

Chiming in, could you tell us when and where you purchased your device? Also, what is the firmware version of your Nest Hub (2nd gen)? Follow the steps below to know-how:

 

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the display's screen.
  2. Tap Settings and then Device information Technical information Firmware version.

Hey yannamani_r,

 

Could you share a video showing the issue so we have a better picture on what's happening to your device? Also, please check the current firmware version by following the steps below:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices .
  3. Tap and hold your device's tile > Settings , or More > Settings > Device information.
  4. Find Technical information > Cast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX. If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX.

Hello, I have the same Issue

One mid night the screen turned Bright White and stayed like that

i had to pull the pulg and later in the day i have Factory reset the device further i was able to add to Google Home and upon Final reboot it shows an updated and gothrough it 100% and reboots and the same repeats

 

Please advise if there is any fix for this ?
