I unplugged my Google nest hub gen 2 for an extended period of time and now I go through setup and it will not connect to my my wifi network. I've factory reset it, Reset my router too. Help?

It looks like you've done a thorough job by resetting everything.

Is the speaker showing up at all on the Devices page? Check right down the bottom of the page too.

Do you turn on Bluetooth on your phone when attempting set-up?

Hi @Crunchers1970,

Thanks @SmartHomeH-TAGS for the questions.

Thanks for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) isn't connecting to your Wi-Fi network after being unplugged for an extended period. and you've already tried factory resetting the Nest Hub and restarting your router. Let's work together for a solution.

To help me understand this issue more thoroughly and guide you to a solution, could you please provide some additional details?

  1. What is the exact wording of the error message you see on the Nest Hub's screen or in the Google Home app when it fails to connect to Wi-Fi?
  2. What is the make and model of your Wi-Fi router?
  3. Are you attempting to connect the Nest Hub to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network? Some routers have separate network names for these bands, while others combine them.
  4. Are other devices (like your phone or computer) able to connect to the same Wi-Fi network without any issues?
  5. When setting up the Nest Hub, does it recognize your Wi-Fi network's name (SSID), or is your network not appearing as an option?

Your answers to these questions will help us pinpoint the problem and determine the next best steps to get your Nest Hub (2nd Gen) back online.

Regards,

Kevin
