Nest hub max face detection not working

I have set up face detection and voice detection on the nest Hub Max. Yet there is no indication that when I approach the camera that it recognizes anybody. There are no dots in the corner. Nor does it recognize my voice even after initiating and training for voice. At a loss I want to try next. Any insight is much appreciated

I know how hard it is when something is not working on your Google Nest Hub Max. To confirm, what country are you located in? Also, is it working before? Is camera sensing enabled on your device? Also, what are the troubleshooting steps that you've done so far?

I did finally get it to work! Thanks for checking.

I basically deleted everything and started fresh. Factory reset, reinstalled home app, added family members again... You get the idea. Believe it or not, I ran into issues there too, but won't get into it. Took a few tries to get it. 

BUT... I must have done everything correct this time, because it works. Looking back, I'm not sure I turned off the nest camera (or may have turned it back on for some reason). Regardless, it's working now!
