Nest hub max randomly crashing with extremely loud feedback sound

Orliam23

I was gifted a Nest Hub Max and within days of setting it up it started randomly crashing with an extremely loud noise that sounds like static/feedback.

The entire screen then shuts down and restarts.

Each time:

- the system has not had someone actively using/interacting with the screen

- locations have been changed to rule out interference

- time varies from moments ago 3:30PM ET to early morning

- the system wasn't being used for calls or music at the time.

Other than completely turning off the screen and mic which seems to defeat the purpose I haven't been able to troubleshoot or find a resolution.

Hello Orliam23,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

My apologies for the late response. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues with your Google Nest Hub Max. I'd love to help!

Since you're done with the basic steps, let's go ahead and reset your Nest Hub Max. Please follow the steps below to learn how:

  1. Save any important footage from your device's video history.
  2. Remove your Nest Hub Max from the Google Home app.
  3. On the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
