So my Chromecast Ultra is in the same room as my Google Nest Hub 1st Gen. When I start casting media to the TV, and I tell Google assistant to pause the Chromecast, media controls pop up on the Hub. At this point it's tangled up with the casting media. If I swipe away the controls, the media pauses on the Chromecast. It's not until I swipe from the clock and push play on the media tile that it starts behaving 'normal'. This seems like a bug for a very specific situation. I guess how I expected to act is to remain on the clock even when I tell it to control Chromecast media.

Hi _Matt_Murdock,
Thanks for bringing this up.
Does it happen when you try to cast a video from Netflix or YouTube? Also, can you please provide a photo of the exact display that you're getting so we can check further what's causing this to happen?
We'd love to know more details so we can start some steps that might resolve this.
Best,
Princess

After some testing today, the issue is seemingly resolved. Netflix, YouTube, and HBO Max have been tested with these steps.
1. Play a video on the app from smartphone.
2. Cast using cast icon from embedded app player to Chromecast Ultra.
3. Ask Google nest hub (1st gen) to pause Chromecast. The media controls then appear on the Nest Hub display.
4. Swipe away the controls to return to the clock.
At that point it used to pause the media on Chromecast Ultra. Now it does not.
I will note there is still a minor inconvenience of swiping away the media controls to know the time as the media controls don't 'time-out'. Personally I would rather the media controls not show up at all, as if I'm controlling the media from a Google Home (1st gen) or Nest mini.
