Nest Hub Mini times out when displaying security camera, even though I have turned off this setting in settings. I am using Symynelec plugged in security cameras. These cameras will stream as long as I want on my Samsung phone, or on any of my tv's. But when I try to stream them on my Nest Hub Max or Nest Hub Mini, the screen times out after so many minutes. This is extremely annoying and makes me question using Google Nest devices anymore. I have turned off the setting to timeout after five minutes, but the screens still time out. How can this be corrected, as I've seen many others having the same problem, and you continue to stop further posts to those threads. So I don't understand why you would turn off further postings to threads where a solution has NOT been found????

Maybe it's an issue with Symynelec cameras. We've live-streamed our 1st and 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells on our Nest Hubs and Nest Hub Max for years and do not have any timeout issues. For Google Nest cameras and doorbells, there is no timeout option.
Google Nest says live-streaming for battery-powered cameras and doorbells times out after 5 minutes, and after 12 hours for wired cameras and doorbells:

My cameras are wired in, and they time out within approximately ten to fifteen minutes. They don't do this on ANY other device.

I'm just another Google Nest customer, and I was only commenting that Google Nest says battery-powered cameras and doorbells times out after 5 minutes, and after 12 hours for wired cameras and doorbells. Our Google Nest cameras and doorbells do NOT time out, so I only wondered that MAYBE it's an issue with Symynelec cameras. MAYBE their interface is different than Google Nest's cameras. I don't know whether it's up to Symynelec or Google to fix it.

It's all good. I thought you were a Google Mod at first, and that's why I bugged a bit. But I get you were just offering some info. Funny thing is, where is the Google rep, mod or tech to answer the actual question????? These are 4k lightbulb cameras, that work perfectly on my laptop, tablet or phone, and NEVER time out. But I have two Google Nest Hub Maxes, and so I tend to use them more, because I can just control them with my voice. So it's extremely annoying every time I look up and it's timed out, and I have to ask again, and again, and...

I'm so sick of Large Corp's like you, ditching responsibility of crappy products, with crappy customer service, or the lack there of... Isn't it convenient for you to pass responsibility on to another company??? No, it's not the Symynelec cameras, or their software. I've streamed them all day on my tv's, on my tablet and on my Android phone. Those cameras work flawlessly on EVERYTHING EXCEPT YOUR PRODUCT. So empirical evidence shows it is NOT an issue with their cameras or software. It's solely happening on YOUR PRODUCT. So instead of deflecting responsibility, why don't you do the ETHICAL thing and investigate, find a solution and do your job as CUSTOMER SERVICE/tech support is supposed to!!!???
