Nest hub - very slow or non responsive

jjgixer

Hello, the usual - hub has become very slow or non responsive. Done all the usual things, reboot, different WiFi, moved closer to the router.... All upto date firmware/software wise.

Read countless other threads all saying the same thing....

Also those threads in question get shutdown by "experts"  because there is no actual solution given....

So is there a solution? Or is my hub destined for the bin?

Would love to know what the problem is and how it's going to be fixed?

Have you tried a factory reset? have you recently upgraded your wifi network with a new router or range extender?

Hi, I have done a factory reset. Many times and I haven't changed my setup...

Its the Google assistant that is slow to respond or unresponsive.

Any tips on getting it to work?

Have you tried to restart devices?

Hey jjgixer,

I wanted to check in and see if you are still in need of any help with your device. If your Google Assistant is very slow, there is a chance you may have issues with your Wi-Fi connection. I found an article with some troubleshooting steps.  Please let me know if you have any questions, as I would be happy to assist, and answer any you may have.

Thank you so much Wesley1969 for the helpful replies.

Best regards,
Jake

Thank you for contacting me regarding the first suggestion but it still is working correctly. The usability of the hub is still great but the assistant reaction time is pityful and always says their is a problem yet ask a nest speaker somewhere else in the house and it's done instantly....

Hey jjgixer,

Sorry for the delays. To confirm, have you tried setting up your Nest Hub to a different network like mobile hotspot? This is to further isolate the issue. Also, it will be helpful for the team if you could share a video showing the issue, so we can further check what's going on with your device.

Cheers,

Muddi
