I've been using google Home display for more than a year with no major issues. I added a Nest mini speaker a few days ago, plugged it in to set it up, worked perfectly. The only setting I changed was changing my default music provider from Spotify to Apple Music (because Spotify allows me to pick tracks on the Home display but not on the Nest mini??).
I unplugged it to move it to a different socket nearby, and the trouble started. The Nest Mini speaker now takes upwards of 10 seconds to react, then 15 seconds to carry out any actions. Not only that, but it has simultaneously caused the same delays on the google Home display, it lags significantly when trying to play music and it's a pain to get it to stream video, it takes a while to start and it now stutters.
I've checked language settings and there's only one language in use (English). No other settings have been changed in the account, personalisation is the same, personalised responses are off and always have been (so my family aren't bothered with my busy calendar), internet settings are fine, I've turned both devices off and back on again. Both devices have good wifi connection. Other devices (phones, tablets) have good wifi connection.
