Nest mini using my Spotify account, not other member’s Apple music

We have an existing speaker in our kitchen that we’ve had for a few years. Just got a second speaker for a bedroom but that speaker is using my Spotify account. The home member has Apple Music set as default but it’s not using it unless they use their phone to connect. Can anyone help to let me know how to fix this?

Hi Fishertours,

Thank you for posting in the community! I apologize that the other members of Apple Music aren't able to play on the Nest Mini using Spotify. I'd be happy to help!

To clarify the inconvenience, you want to know how to change the default music provider for the Home member to play music on the Nest Mini?

In the meantime, you can learn more about how to set a default music service: Link your music services and set your default service.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer

Hi Jennifer, thanks but this isn’t the issue. The home member has Apple Music set as the default, but when they speak to the speaker it plays from my Spotify account.

Hi @Fishertours,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm truly sorry to hear that the home member is using Apple Music, but the speaker is playing from your Spotify account.

To provide you with the best possible assistance, I'd like to ask a few questions:

Normally, in this case, the Apple Music member should use a specific command like "Hey Google, play country music through Apple Music," and the speaker will play the music through Apple Music. If you haven't tried using this command, please do so and let me know the results.

Best regards,

Lusvin

Hi Lusvin.

Thanks for your help. It’s a Nest Mini.
Both are premium plans. I don’t use Apple Music.
When they give the command Play x on Apple Music. It says you are not connected to Apple Music. The only way it works is to use the iPhone to then connect through the speaker. The family member has Apple Music set as the default, voice recognition is on. I haven’t used the speaker at all.
