Nest speakers not responding

Rickboy

Hi, I had to disconnect my wifi for my provider to compete a repair. Now I have been trying to get my smart speakers to work.

They appear on my deco mesh system as connected but I get the following when asking anything

"Please connect to through the Google app".  I've tried all of the suggestions such as hard reset, checking router settings  etc. None have fixed the issue.

My nest hub max did work although it too initially displayed an error saying nest set up but cant be found...

As of now I have two nest minis and a nest audio that are effectively bricks!

Any advice would be appreciated

May or may not be related, but it's been discovered that Google Home / Nest products have an unstable connection to mesh networks capable of WiFi 6. Even Google's own WiFi 6 system. I have a Deco mesh, too, but my speakers say "hang on whilst I get connected to WiFi" - many others are saying they have this same problem, and Google have said they're working on a fix but it's been over 6 months for me, probably longer for others

Hi, I fixed them by connecting to 5ghz instead of my 2.4ghz guest network

Hello Rickboy,

Sweet! I'm happy to hear that connecting your device to a different bandwidth resolved the issue, and thanks for keeping me in the loop. I also appreciate Biggsyboi's response here.

Let me know if you have additional questions or concerns about your devices; otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.

Cheers,
