Nest won't recognize my voice

Not sure what category to post this in but my Google device does not remember my voice to make a Google Duo call. Each time I have to go through the statements for it to remember me.

Welcome to the Google Nest Community Forum.

 

I know how it feels when your device doesn't recognize your voice - we're here to help. A few questions - when did the issue start? What specific Google Nest speaker/display do you have? How many accounts are linked on the Google Home app? If multiple accounts, are they experiencing the same issue? How often does it happen?

 

Please remove and retrain your voice from the Google Home app to refresh the settings. Follow the steps below to know-how:

 

  1. Make sure the mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the Google Nest or Home device.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. At the top right corner of the screen, tap your account icon.
  4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google Home or Google Nest device. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
  5. From Home, tap Settings > Google Assistant  > Voice Match.
  6. Uncheck the box next to the device name and confirm that you would like to remove Voice Match from that device.

Retrain your voice:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top-right, tap account (the icon with the first letter of the customer’s name, or their profile picture).
  3. Verify that the Google account shown is the one linked to the speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the drop-down arrow, then choose another account or Add another account .
  4. From Home, tap Settings > Google Assistant > Voice Match.
  5. Follow the in-app steps.

I am sorry to hear you are still running into the issue with the voice match. Do you mind me asking if you have tried to factory reset the device? Have you tried to retain your voice? Please let me know as I would be happy to look into this further.
