New Google Home App is annoying‼️

This new google home app is very annoying and frustrating.  I can’t play any media to my SRS-XB501G speakers neither in multi rooms.  The group that I created for the two displays then disappears.  I had everything working just fine in the old app.  Now I can use only one speaker because I have to connect it using Bluetooth.  I did not purchase wifi speakers to use Bluetooth. Trying to find a solution to my issues in support is even more of a headache.  The worst update I’ve ever seen 😡.

Hello,

I have the same problem. All my groups have disappeared with no reason. The new Home app doesn't show them. I can't manage them. It's annoying

I no longer have the option to pair my nest audio to my computer via bluetooth.  It worked fine before, but now when following the directions in the link I do no have any bluetooth related menu options.

These are the same instructions that come up in the app when searching.

I hope this gets added back. Without bluetooth my speaker no longer does what I need it to do, and I'll have to replace it.

Hi folks,

Apologies for the delayed response.

@L1inamillion, @Albperalb, @MeMoMaMaMan, this is not the experience we want you to have; let us help you. A few questions: aside from the mentioned Nest Audio, which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Also, you can reinstall the Google Home app to see if that changes things.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan
