News on the morning routine not updating

As mentioned in the title, Its been months since in one of my devices news arent updating.

Ive tried doing a Factory reset, reconfiguring the routine and swapping around the news media but nothing

This just happen in a smart watch with Google assitant. The rest of the devices works fine

We appreciate that you tried to resolve the issue with a factory reset. I am aware that you need to pair it with the Google Home app. I need to know a few things about your smart watch in order to provide you with a better resolution.

  • What type of smart watch are you trying to pair with the Google Home app?
  • Do you see any specific error code on the process?

Hey Jeremi,

 

I've already tried doing a factory reset a few times.

The issue is on a Xiaomi smart watch.

I appreciate your efforts to fix the routine. I understand how frustrating it must be that this hasn't been resolved. But no worries,  so let’s explore more options.

 

  • Factory reset the speaker or display.
  • Find Routine started events. The entry should include the time the Routine ran, the name of the Routine, and what caused the Routine to start.
  • Make sure the mobile device is connected to the same WiFi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.

Hi Jeremy,

I've done another factory reset on the Smart watch, aswell as checked the routine as you mentioned.

In the routine the trigger is just the word Good Morning (in my case buenos dias) and in the watch, inside the alarm configuration the good morning routine option is configured.

 

Again, I set up an alarm for a minute later to try it to no result, the first news are still the same as they where as for the past months.
I tried the routine in my phone and google nest and the news are updated without an issue
