No audio from nest cam on nest hub

I am having the exact same issue as this user:

wr also use the nest cam as a baby monitor. I have a google nest hub and a nest hub max. Neither of them play the cam audio. It’s video only.

on the google home app I am able to see the video and hear the audio.

 

I have a 2nd gen wired camera.

Thanks for reaching out — let’s see what’s going on. 

 

A few questions: when did your issue begin? Is this working before? What’s the router that you are using? Also, what's the troubleshooting steps you’ve done so far? 

 

Give these steps a try: 

 

  1. Make sure they are on the same Wi-Fi Network.
  2. Reboot your Wi-Fi router.
  3. Reboot your Google Nest displays.
  4. Reboot your Nest Camera.

Is this working before?

Yes

 

What’s the router that you are using?
Don’t know.

Also, what's the troubleshooting steps you’ve done so far? 
Deleted the camera from the household and started from scratch with ut

Rebooted the googles nest hub max

 

 

Fun fact. The issue is with our google nest hub max. The google nest hub in a different room works just fine

Hi there,

 

Gotcha, If the issue is isolated to just the Nest Hub Max, Try a factory reset to put it back to its default settings and set it up one more time. Check the instructions below:

 

  1. Save any important footage from your device's video history.
  2. Remove your Nest Hub Max from the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. On the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting.
