I got my speaker today and when I turned it on it made the initial sound but after that there has been no sound at all.
I’ve tried rebooting it, doing a factory reset, unplugging it for a few seconds and turning it back on and nothing works. Assuming it’s a problem with the speaker itself rather than my Google Home because there’s no sound at all after a factory reset before it’s even been connected to my Google Home.

Check if the speaker works but enabling Bluetooth , see if it will play something that way - https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7381505?hl=en-GB
If that works , then something else is going on, another factory reset may be in order ... If it doesn't work then it's probably safe to say it's a faulty device
