Now playing screen doesn’t show devices

I bought my nest hub last week and I love it. But everytime I stream Apple Music and try to control volume on other devices or cast to my chromecast on the device’s screen it doesn’t show anything

I don’t have a windows pc though. It’s my nest hub. It works fine but I can’t control and cast to other devices while casting music or podcasts

i tried Apple Music. I tried SoundCloud and the now playing screen doesn’t show album art nor the title of the song

there should be a list of two more devices which are my chromecast and my nest mini. They show up on every restart but that’s pretty much it. Then it disappears

Hey Arkiega,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I appreciate @RachelGomez123 for sharing the steps. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues casting to your Google Nest Hub. Let's dig deeper into this!

A few questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • What specific Nest Hub do you have (1st or 2nd gen)?
  • How far is your Nest Hub from the router?

Please try these steps below:

  1. Move your Google Nest device within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your Google Nest device and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
