Occasionally doesnt stop music on command

we have a nest hub, home speaker and a number of mini's on our google home. We typically play music on pandora. Occasionally when we say hey google stop, or stop music or stop playing  music, it stops for a few seconds then resumes playing. This usually occurs when it's been playing for a number of hours. They only way to stop it is with the app. Any suggestions?
