Pandora upgrade

I just upgraded to a family premium pandora account. Now I'm unable to broadcast pandora to my Google home. I can tell Google nest or speakers to play pandora, but choosing it on my phone to broadcast to a speaker or group no longer works. It works with Spotify though. I rebooted Google and deleted and re-installed pandora, and pandora is my default music player. Help please, I'm frustrated.

Hey there!

It sounds like you're running into a frustrating issue with broadcasting Pandora to your Google Home after the upgrade. Let's work through this together.

First things first, have you tried casting Pandora to another device, like a Chromecast or smart TV? This will help us isolate whether the problem lies with Pandora, Google Home, or your network.

If it works on other devices, the issue is likely with your Google Home setup. I'd recommend checking the device's settings, ensuring it's on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone, and even trying a factory reset if necessary.

  • Ensure both Pandora and Google Home apps are up-to-date:Outdated apps can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Check for updates in the respective app stores.
  • Check the device settings: Ensure your Google Home device is set up correctly and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.
  • Try a factory reset: If issues persist, try resetting your Google Home device to its factory settings. This can be done through the Google Home app.
  • Unlink and relink your Pandora account: Go to the Google Home app, find your Pandora account, and unlink it. Then, relink it to see if it resolves the issue.

If the problem persists across devices, it might be a Pandora-specific issue related to the Family Premium upgrade. In that case, I'd suggest reaching out to Pandora's support directly for further troubleshooting. They might have specific information about this issue or recent changes that could be causing it.

Regards,

Brandon.
