Personalized Music not working on Home devices

Stephenmichaele

Hi,

My daughter is having problems getting Google to play her music on our Google Home devices. Every time she says "Hey Google, play some music" it plays my music which is great for me but not for her lol. Personal results have been turned on for all of our accounts and I've also got her to re-record her voice for the voice match settings.

Does anyone know what the issue may be?

Many thanks,

Stephen

Thanks for that, really helpful. I actually narrowed it down to my new nest speaker pair and I've sorted this issue. Now to try and work out how to get Google to distinguish between my daughter and my wife's voices 🤣.

Hi @Stephenmichaele your daughter needs to set up an account and be invited you your device in order for her music to play and not yours. Generally, the first person to set up the device is the default music service, so, when someone wants to listen to music, they get your library of sounds and likes.

Take a look here for info on how to share music with multiple users in a location. If you have questions give a shout.

@Stephenmichaele you will need to invite your daughter to your home and she will need to set up voice match. Setting up voice match will enable the speaker to distinguish between people who share devices -- the link provided in my first post explains that process.
