Photo ID on Google Max hub

My Google Max displays a range of photographs which I expect Google chooses. How do I identify a particular photographer or location of the photograph?  how do I freeze the photograph or capture the image?

Hi Jeff149b,

Thanks for reaching out.

When your Google Nest Hub or Google Nest Hub Max display isn't in use, it can quietly keep you entertained. You can add your favourite photos to Google Photos and display them in your Google Nest Photo Frame. Alternatively, you can choose an existing art gallery or select from a variety of traditional and abstract clocks to show while your device is idle. You can also get notifications on your display about upcoming events, commute, reminders, flights and packages.

You can adjust Photo Frame settings with the Google Home app or your Nest display.

Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings and then Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.

Nest display:

  1. From the bottom of your Nest display screen, swipe up.
  2. Tap Settings .
  3. Tap Photo Frame and then adjust the settings that you want.

If you have Voice Match enabled, you can also say 'Hey Google, change Photo Frame' to open Photo Frame settings on your Nest display.

Live albums automatically add photos from your Google Photos library so that you don’t have to manually update the photos on your Nest display.

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings and then Photo Frame.
  4. Tap Google Photos and then Select family and friends.
  5. Tap the faces that you want to include and then Confirm or Done.

Photos of your family and friends should now appear on your Nest display.

Note: Make sure that you enable face grouping in the Google Photos app.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Princess

Thanks for chiming in. Actually Princess, your earlier post didn't answer my question.. I asked, How can I identify the location or photographer of any particular photo in Nest Max "Getty Images"?  And, is there a way of "copying" or "screeen grabbing" any particular photo from Max "Getty Images."

Hi Jeff149b,

I understand that this would be a helpful feature, however this option is not available. Your Nest Hub Max is unable to do a screen grab when the photos are shown. The photographer's name and information or even the location cannot be determined unless the picture itself has it prior to being saved to Google.

In line of this, we want to encourage you to send feedback from your end and we’re hoping for all the possibilities by taking our user’s feedback and suggestions. Let us know if you have additional questions, otherwise we'll be locking the thread in 24 hours.

Best,

Dan

Thank you for your response.  About your "Your Nest Hub Max is unable to do a screen grab when the photos are shown. Hey there,

Apologies for the late reply and thank you for letting us know. Here are the steps on how to send feedback:

Step 1. Turn on device reports

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right corner of the screen, tap Settings > Recognition & sharing.
  5. Turn on Send [device model] device usage and crash reports to Google. (Example: Send Google Home device usage and crash reports to Google.)

Step 2. Share your feedback

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Tap Feedback > tap the device you'd like to submit feedback for.
  4. To display available emails, in the "From:" section, tap the arrow on the right. Select your email address.
  5. In the feedback summary, write a brief description of your issue.
  6. Be sure to check the box for Screenshot and System logs.
  7. To submit feedback, at the top right corner, tap Send.

Let me know if I can assist you in anything else, otherwise I will be locking this thread in 24 hours.

Cheers,

Dan

Thanks for the lengthy reply Dan. But wow that seems pretty complicated,.just leave feedback. Not impossible but at the moment I don't have the time or energy to devote to it. I also expect it will limit the number and skill set of people who are likely to take the trouble to send feedback.

Maybe maybe Google to just put a simple feedback button on the screen somehow.
