We have a family Spotify account and set up both our childrens google minis from their own iPads. This was working fine but now they can’t play music at the same time. if one has music on and the other requests their google mini to play a song it turns the one playing off and plays their song. How do we allow them both to play seperate songs at the same time

You wrote, "This was working fine but now..." The problem could either be on your end or on Spotify's end. Getting help from Spotify via chatting is an unpleasant (and for me, unproductive) experience. So I would start the troubleshooting process on your end. Do you recall anyone in your family tweaking anything in your Spotify settings? Ask your family if they made any adjustments, intentionally or otherwise, and go from there. You may have to remove the devices and then set them back up again. I don't have a family plan and if I try to play music on my nest mini and computer at the same time, the next mini will alert me that I can use only one device at a time. Is your nest mini alerting you about anything not allowed by Spotify? Good luck

I wasn't the OP but I'll respond - I'm good for now.
I'm on a learning curve and I'm holding on for dear life. I'm figuring out how to pair different devices and apps to the nest mini. If I can't see the cast icon then I move on to the next device. The hardest part will be setting up my wife's phone and teaching her how to use Google Home.

Hey dumbbunny,
It's nice to know that everything is working on your Nest Mini. You can do a lot of things with your Nest Mini - from connecting smart devices and using third-party applications that you can use for entertainment.
Here are some helpful links:
Hope this helps.
