Please help with Nest Audio

Hi. Please can someone help.

I have a google audio, and 2 google nest minis set up in my house. Recently i had internet issues, but they have been sorted. I checked my Home app and saw all 3 speakers were disconnected, i forgot Wi-Fi on all 3 and managed to get the 2 nest minis to reconnect to the Wi-Fi, but the nest audio does not connect. I reset the speaker, and when setting up all goes well until i have to choose the Wi-Fi to connect the speaker to. that Wi-Fi is not in the list of WIFI's to connect. others come up such as neighbor's WIFI's but mine doesn't show on the list. All other speakers are connected to the same Wi-Fi, but the nest audio does not see it. I have reset it a few times, restarted the router, still not seeing the Wi-Fi. I tried making a hotspot from a tablet, and the speaker did not see that wifi hotspot either.

It seems that because the nest audio was previously connected to the same wifi, it doesnt see it now. I dont get it though, as i reset the speaker doesnt that completely wipe it, shouldnt it see the wifi even though there was a previous connection.

Please assist

Regards

Hi BrianOneill,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that your Google Nest Audio is neither finding the WiFi you use with your other devices nor the Mobile Hostpost that you set up on your tablet. Don't worry; I'm here to help! Just to get started, I'd like to confirm some information with you. Can you please help me answer the next questions?

  • What color are the LEDs on your Google Nest Audio?
  • How far are you from your WiFi router?
  • Are you trying to set it up on a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi connection?
  • What are your upload and download speeds near the device?
  • Have you configured your WiFi network to be hidden?

With this information, I'll be able to share some useful troubleshooting steps that might solve this situation.

In the meantime, if you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further!

Best regards,

Nery.
