My Nest mini 2nd Gen only replies with "Please Log into your google home app".  How do I fix this issue?

I have deleted and reinstalled the app as well as disconnect and reconnect the Nest speaker.

Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate you taking the time to try some troubleshooting steps. A few questions: when did the issue start? Is this the first time this happened? Were there any changes made to your network or device?

 

Let’s perform a factory reset on your Google Nest Mini to clear its previous configuration. Here are the steps to reset your device. 

 

On the side of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more until a sound confirms that the device is resetting. Once done, set it up and it should be good to go.
