Our family used the family bell to help keep us on track for school mornings. School is out for summer and (yikes!) we were unable to access the settings to turn the family bell off and it was waking up our kids.
I searched for a solution online, couldn’t find something that worked. I contacted Google support, nothing worked. I tried uninstalling the app, resetting my nest wifi, and trying from different wifi networks. So frustrating! We ended up unplugging the devices.
I think I found a solution! My family bell rings on two devices, so I did the same procedure for both:
1. In the Google home app, click on the device, settings, “remove device.” Then, I performed a hard reset on the device and unplugged the power source.
2. Plug device back in after a minute and go through the steps to add device back. No more family bell going off.
