I Can't cast audio from spotify on any of my devices (android phone, macmini) from the Google Home app. I reset all of the app and nothing is working.

I am having the same issue. No solution I am afraid but having spent a few hours trouble shooting a little more info.

As of this evening google stereo pairs have stopped playing music with spotify. It is only an issue with spotify (not other apps) and with stereo pair (possibly with other speaker groups but I don't have any others)

I have 2 google nest speakers paired as stereo.

I have reset both, unpaired the speakers, uninstalled and reinstalled google home, uninstalled and reinstalled spotify, and set up the entire group again.

I have tested with other apps (e.g. playing 'news', YT music). The group / stereo works with other apps.

I have unpaired the speakers. Spotify works with each speaker individually.

Given the above, the issue is only this evening, only for spotify and only for speaker groups.

And I would really like an answer since spotify streaming must be one of the most commons uses for google home - it is daily for me - and having a speaker group must be fairly standard these days.

I am in the UK if that makes any difference at all.

Interestingly this happened to me last night. I have just 2 Google audio mk2's set up as a stereo pair and repeatedly started getting 'something went wrong' when trying to play Spotify and also could not cast Spotify from an Ipad or android phone, but could cast Youtube music or play the radio fine. Powered off both speakers completely and restarted and it made no difference.

In the end went into the speaker settings in the Google Home App on my phone and clicked the Reboot left speaker then the right speaker and was very surprised to find that worked. Tried again this morning and still working, so fingers crossed.

Hello,

I have 2 google Nest paired as stereo.

Today it start to won’t work playing Spotify music, only if I unpair the stereo feature.

Already uninstall and reinstall both google home and Spotify, also run a factory reset on both speakers.

Any idea?

Hello,

Sad to hear this, maybe it’s an issue with Spotify app.

Apple music works properly.

I’m at Brazil, so seems a worldwide problem.

Hello. I have the same. Stereo works with services other than Spotify. Separately, each column works with Spotify

Hello,

Today Spotify ask a permissions to access local network and just work fine the stereo speakers.

Let’s wait some time to check if persists!
