Problem setting up google nest hub kgskerror domain 83902

Niniparis

Hello,

I have a google nest hub 2nd generation. I don't manage to install it

I manage to connect it to wifi but when I reach the step "set up google assistant" I get the message "the operation couldn't be completed kgskerrordomain error - 83902

I've already been on the support community and tried all I could find. I reseted the wifi router, the nest hub....etc but nothing works

When resetting the nest hub though the language that appears at first is german, not sure why and i don't speak german. I am french but use all my devices in english (including google)

I have already spent at least 3 hours over several days trying to solve this. I must say it is super annoying and I am surprised that so many other persons seem also to have issue with a simple google device

Please help ..

the phone on which Google home app is is an iphone 15, up to date

Thanks a lot

@Niniparis

There have been numerous other posts about the kgsk error domain 83902 in the last few weeks.

Google Nest does not seem to have an explanation. On one post (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/error-83902-kgsk-error-domain/m-p/55415...), a Google Nest Support Specialist posted this:

"To help the team further look into this, please send feedback using the Google Home app, followed by the keywords 'GHT3 KGSKErrorDomain error -83902.'"

ok will see if i manage, thank you!

Hello everyone,

Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate @MplsCustomer's help here. Just to add to that, please try setting up your devices using a different account. If it's still the same, set up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one to serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home/Nest speakers).

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi

Sorry. It worked for me. Maybe switch your phone language to English UK, and then switch back to English US, and see if that helps.

On iOS it is unable to set up Google Nest Hubs, only if you set your phone or tablet language and region to the same you would like to use the Google device.
If you would like to set up English (UK) on Nest Hub, then your iPhone should be set to English and Region UK.

Restart your phone and then you can finish the setup.

Hey Lednek,

Sorry about this experience. Some users have confirmed that they have fixed this issue. Let's try these steps and see how it goes.

  1. Change the default language to English US
  2. Change your Google Account to English US as well as your assistant's language.

Let me know if these steps work.

Lastly, thanks @MplsCustomer for chiming in.

Best,

Princess
