Problem with Zigbee temperature sensors on Nest Hub (2nd gen)

Hi,

I recently have bought 3 Zigbee Room Temperature sensors from Temu and connected them to the Smart Life app on my android phone.  All three show temperature, humidity and power levels.  I connected the Smart Life to Google Home and on my android phone, these 3 sensors are sending their data to the app.  I now have a few problems:

1) On the Google Nest Hub (2nd generation, latest firmware), these sensors do not show up at all in the Climate section.  If I select them on by searching them in the devices section, they show the humidity and power, but the temperature keeps showing the loading circle.  This issue has been reported several times on this forum, always with the same 'solution solving': resetting everything to factory, reactivating everything, just to get the same results and then getting a message saying that it is a manufacturer problem...  When will these problems be finally be solved?    It is a problem with the Google Nest Hub software, not with the manufacturer (the google home app can read the temperature without a problem, so why should it be a manufacturer problem???)

2) In the Google Home App, I can select these sensors as starters for actions, but I can only use Humidity and Power level as starter.  Why is it impossible to use the temperature sensor as a starter, although this is available in the app of the device itself???  This looks a lot like Google is trying to force users to buy their (way too expensive) devices instead of being an open system where users can add sensors from other manufacturers, which makes the Google Nest products almost worthless to really make automation routines

3) Why does it takes months (read: years) before simple updates to fix errors like this are pushed to these devices.  I am myself a programmer and a system administrator, who is on a daily basis managing, programming and updates devices and if I deliver service like this to my customers, I am fired within a week...

I really hope to get a real solution for these problems, as it is a real frustration for a lot of people to get these devices connected and running like they should.

Regards,

Bertin

Hi,

I reported these issues, but as I see other complaints about the same issue reported here in January, I have little hope that there will be a solution soon.  These kind of errors (and especially the failure of resolving them in a reasonable timeframe) makes these Google Nest products unusable as a real home automation system.  It degrades these (expensive) devices to toys, showing only the things Google want it to show instead of being an open system that can interact with devices from other vendors.

Hi there!

I apologize for the ongoing issues you're experiencing with your Google Nest products. It's frustrating when our devices don't meet your expectations. Your feedback is invaluable to us and helps us identify areas for improvement.

I understand your concerns about the timeframe for resolving these issues. Our teams are actively working to address reported problems, and we appreciate your patience as we investigate and implement solutions.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Best,

Brandon.

Hi,

Is there a timeframe when these problems with the temperature sensors will be finally resolved?  I cannot believe it is such a big problem to solve this issue (especially as these type of problems are already reported more than a year ago...)  Not being able to use temperature sensors to activate other devices turns the whole climate system unusable and it is just one of the problems that let users stop using these devices and search for companies that DO listen to the complaints from their customers and that actually DO solve the problems...  I start wondering if there even IS a team working on these issues at all???  The least we can get is a statement that this issue is acknowledged and a timeframe when we can expect a (working) solution to fix this problem.

Bertin

I posted this same message in august last year, but as (after almost 6 months) there was no new reply, I wanted to ask if there will be a solution soon for this bug...
