Hi Everyone,
Made the jump from Alexa to the GOOGLE Nest Hub Max. I am LOVING it so far, but have ran into a roadblock. I have found many, many tutorials of how to Setup a Routine. Looks great .... no problem. However, how do you stop a routine.
I want to turn on some lamps at 7:00pm and turn them off at 9:00 pm. I can 'start' them, I just don't know how to 'stop' the routine.
Thanks for your help in advance

Hi @Curtiscop
Routines, sometimes called automations, don't work quite like that. When a routine runs it just carries out the actions once and that's it. If you want to turn the lights off at 9pm, you need to create a second routine to action at 9pm that just turns the lights off.
It is possible to to insert a fixed time delay into a 'personal' routine to carry out a second action, but in the circumstance you are talking about just creating a second routine is simplest.

While the routine is running you want to stop it?
You need to find the Automation in the Google Home app and attempt to edit it. You'll get a warning that your action will disrupt the routine.
Otherwise you shouldn't have jumped off the Amazon bandwagon as you can disable and enable Alexa routines with your voice.
I use both systems.
