Routines not working

Phillgon

I have 3 Google home mini devices. All of a sudden I'm getting the something went wrong error on all of my routines. My alarms will go off, and when I shut them off, my routines do not start. If I try to turn my devices off or lights, it responds that something went wrong or it can't connect to geeni. However it still turns on/off lights. It will also turn off and on tvs and other devices but will still say something went wrong. It also no longer recognizes my voice. For example if I ask it to find my phone, it tells me try again but it will ring my phone anyway. I tried to remove and rea add the devices but it's still doing the same thing. I've reset the Internet modem and router as well.

Hi @Phillgon,

I understand how frustrating this must be. It sounds like you've already tried a lot of troubleshooting steps, which is great! Let's work through this together.

To narrow down the issue, could you please clarify a few things:

  • Are you experiencing these issues with all your Google Home Mini devices, or just one?
  • Have you tried creating a new routine to see if it works?
  • Are you using any third-party smart home devices or services?

While we gather more information, here are some additional steps you could try:

  • Check for Google Home app updates: Ensure you're using the latest version of the app.
  • Temporarily disable all routines: This might help isolate if a specific routine is causing the issue.
  • Factory reset one Google Home Mini: Start with one device to see if the problem persists.

If you continue to experience difficulties, please let me know so we can provide further assistance.

Best regards,

Josh
