I set up a routine to run on one of my smart speakers before we moved. The routine is set to turn on some lights at 8AM among other things but that 8AM action doesn't occur until 9AM local time. It appears that the routine or speaker itself thinks it is still in a different time zone. The routine was created while we lived elsewhere and moved to our current location (1 time zone away) about 6 months ago.
I have updated my home address everywhere I can find it within the Home app, under assistant settings etc., but the routine still runs in the wrong time zone.
I've factory reset the Nest wifi units (when setting up in the new house), factory reset the new speaker, but still the problem remains.

I was able to finally figure this out. It turns out the Workday routine itself has a timezone setting but it is hidden in the "Starters" option.
This seems weird, as I would expect the routine to just use the location/timezone of the device the routine is running on.
For what its worth, the new routine I created worked fine. Also of note the new routine does NOT have a specific timezone setting under "Starters". I find inconsistencies like this to be rather annoying.

Hi Grimaldo,
Have you also changed or added your home/work locations within Google Maps?
This can also affect where your devices think they are located.
Maps location:

Changes can take a few days to take effect.

Yes. I changed my Home address within days of moving (6 months ago). I am unable to set a work address because Google maps won't let me set it to the same address as my Home (I work from home). Going to try setting up a new routine to see if that works.
Seems ridiculous that this has been an issue for a while for many users and Google still hasn't fixed it.

Hi folks,
@Cathal_S, thanks for the help.
@Grimaldo, we're sorry for the trouble. That's not the experience we want you to have with our devices. By the way, what happened after you tried creating a new routine? Is the behavior the same? Could you try the steps below and see the difference:
