I have a routine I run on both of my google Nest devices (Nest Hub and Max) to play my radio station at night when I go to bed. I manually launch it from the screen. I had it set to mute the assistant volume, set the volume and play a radio station for 90 minutes. So, it should and did run silently and not wake my partner with confirmations. It was working fine until a month or so ago. Now, every time I run the routine it blurts our "Now Playing xxxx on Radio app" at what seems a million Decibels at night. I've tried everything I can think off to resolve this including setting DND and scheduled Night Mode, personal and household routings. Nothing works. Any suggestions or fixes from anyone? This is my very simple routine:
When I say "play bedtime 'radiostation name'
Nest Hub - Set Volume to 0% and Mute option on
Adjust Media Volume 1
"Play 'Radiostation Name' on Radio App for 90 minutes"
Thank in advance

Yes, I have the same problem with the (Night Mode enabled) Assistant volume never going below 10% on the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max.
My Google Home Mini works still, so if you have one of these give it a go.

Hi mongoose3800,
Thanks for reaching out! I understand you'd like your routine to start without sound using Google Assistant, and I'm happy to help.
Have you tried these steps to turn off the sound on your routine?
I look forward to your response.
Regards,
Manuel

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, i can see no option to create a silent starter. But, I have found a way to play the radio without a loud announcement... i setup a spare smart plug in my house and added a starter to my routine that runs it when the plug turns on. Same routine but doing this it runs silently. Run the same routine manually and it announces to the world what is playing. Go figure... good one google for changing something with no reason.
