SYNCHRONISITY

Petersteinmeije

Whenever my LG tv sound is piped through to my paired Google smartspeakers picture and sound are out of sync.

Everything is o.k when I use the tv's internal speaker.( and I can use the slide to synchronise ).

But this 'slide' is inactive/gray when I use the Google smart speakers.( bluetooth )

I find it difficult to believe that we simply have 'put up' with this 'little inconvenience.'

So please Google how do I ( and many I believe ) fix this ?

Hi, @Petersteinmeije,

Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I’m truly sorry the sound is out of sync when using the Google Nest speakers. I’m happy to assist you and find a solution.

To provide the best assistance, please ensure the following:

Please follow these troubleshooting steps:

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Favorites or Devices.
  • Tap and hold your device's tile > tap Settings > Audio > Group delay correction.
  • Move the slider to the left or right until the audio sounds in sync.

This option adjusts audio delay in milliseconds to compensate for delays when speakers are grouped or connected via Bluetooth.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana

That seems to work.

Thank you, Ana

Hi, @Petersteinmeije,

Thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear that the provided steps helped you synchronize the audio with your TV.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or require additional assistance.

Best regards,

Ana

Hi Ana

What  I really meant is that I found the slidebar to make the

adjustment.

It turns out that synchronisation isn't really possible. You can't even get close, unfortunately.

So I've decided to stick to the TV's internal speaker.

Thanks anyway.

Peter.

After some further investigation it turns out that this slider corrects an imbalance between the two

speakers not between sound and video.

As far as I can tell it doesn't correct a lag between picture and sound.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think so.
