Same songs keep getting repeated when playing YouTube Music in my Nest Hub

I have several Nest minis and audios, but this issue only happens with my Nest Hub.

I ask the the Nest Hub: "Ok Google, play some music".

Music playback starts ok, but then after a while it will start repeating the same song(s). Sometimes it will start repeating the same 3-4 songs over and over again, and sometimes it will get stuck on the same song over and over again.

I already tried, unplugging and plugging it again.

I already tried factory resetting it.

This hasn't helped, the issue persists.

 

The nest hub is on 9.20221010.3.176 system firmware, 1.67.880920 cast firmware, in country code MX

A few questions: when did the issue start? Are you playing a playlist? Is the loop settings disabled from Spotify app? Does it happen to other music services like YouTube Music?

 

Let's go unlink and re-link your SPotify account from the Google Home app. These will help us refresh the connection between the apps. Follow the steps below to know how:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Add and then Music.
  3. To unlink an account, tap Unlink > Unlink account.
  4. To connect the account, tap a music service > Link Account > sign in or sign up for the service > follow the in-app steps.

Hi Muddi,

The issue IS  with Youtube Music (I don't even have a spotify account).

A few questions: when did the issue start? The issue started several months ago (maybe almost a year, i thought it would fix itself over time, but never has).

Are you playing a playlist? I'm not playing any playlists, I just ask the nest hub to "Play some music".

Is the loop settings disabled from Spotify app? Not using spotify, but the loop setting is disabled on my phone YouTube Music app (Though I'm not casting from my phone)

Does it happen to other music services like YouTube Music? I only have a YouTube Music acocunt, and it only happens on my Nest Hub (not on the other nest minis/audios I have.

The Google Home App doesn't let me unlink my YouTube Music account...

What else could I try?

Thanks for answering our questions. We'd like to take a closer look into this. Could you please provide the cast firmware version of your Google Nest speakers?

 

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"

The correct versions are:

System firmware version: 9.20221010.3.176

Cast firmware: 1.67.330920
