I ask Google Home to play a song from a specific artist, beging with the songs... after 3 or 4 the same songs repeat...

I am using my  YouTube Music subscription.

This has it not been fixed, especially long term.  The pseudo "fixes" in this thread either don't work at all for some (myself included) or it works temporarily under narrow circumstances.  I know people who said "yah that worked" then a week/month later they say the problem is back - no, it was never fixed.

Google should be both ashamed and embarrassed that such a problem exists for the number of months in which it's existed.  Gross negligence or incompetence, one or the other.

But it HAS been fixed for many of us. That's obvious with how quite this very busy thread has been. I was a person in this thread, ticked off for months. Shortly before I noticed they said it had been fixed, it started working for me again. The only "fix" I tried was making sure both YouTube and Google were updated.

I don't know if it makes ANY difference, but I unplug my nest after use every time. If you are still having issues, you should definitely contact Google. Good luck.

This garbage is still happening. It's happening to me on my morning automated routine which has been happening for a few weeks now. It'll play a few songs and then get stuck playing the same 2 songs over and over.

Google needs to fix this crap. Glad the price of it went up and I'm paying more for garbage service

I understand that you're frustrated with the same songs repeating on YouTube Music when playing on your Nest Hub. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try: Check your playback settings: Shuffle: Make sure shuffle is turned on. You can usually do this by saying "shuffle on" or tapping the shuffle icon in the YouTube Music app. Repeat: Ensure the repeat setting is not on "repeat one" or "repeat all." Queue: Check the queue in the YouTube Music app and remove any duplicate songs or songs you don't want to hear repeatedly. Adjust your listening history and recommendations: Clear listening history: In the YouTube Music app, go to Settings > Privacy & settings > Clear listening history. This might help refresh your recommendations and prevent the same songs from appearing repeatedly. Turn off personalized recommendations: In the YouTube Music app, go to Settings > Privacy & settings > Turn off "Use listening history to improve recommendations." This might give you more variety in your playback, but it won't be tailored to your preferences. Thumbs up/down songs: Actively give feedback on songs you like or dislike by using the thumbs up/down feature in the YouTube Music app. This can help refine your recommendations and ensure you hear more of what you enjoy. Other troubleshooting: Update the YouTube Music app: Make sure you have the latest version of the YouTube Music app installed on your device. Restart your Nest Hub: Sometimes a simple restart can fix temporary glitches. Check your internet connection: A slow or unstable internet connection can sometimes cause playback issues. If none of these steps work: Contact YouTube Music support: You can reach out to YouTube Music support for further assistance. They might be able to investigate the issue specific to your account. Check for known issues: Search online forums or communities to see if other users are experiencing the same problem and if there are any known solutions.

Seriously ? do you really think that if this was that simple this thread would have 500 posts regarding this problem since last summer ?

There is a bug ! We bought devices from Google, we pay for a Google service (youtube) and this is not working, all the pseudo workarounds like the ones you juste gave are not working ! Some of them seems to be temporary solutions but the problem always comes back in a few days or weeks.

We do not have to change our settings every few days, we juste want a working service, as it was before this bug... nothing more !

I have the same problem. I usually start music from the YouTube music app and cast to my google mini speaker. Sometimes it cuts off the playlist after 20 or so songs and repeats them and sometimes it gets to a particular song and repeats it alone.

I'm now having the same issue. The playlist stops after twenty or so songs.

I'm having the same issue as the last few posters. I have an automation set to play my music as an alarm in the morning. It will play from a playlist maybe 2 or 3 songs and then be at the end of the list. The playlist has over 40 songs.

I'm pretty sick of Youtube Music and how bad the app is and all the issues we have. They raise the price from $10 to $13 and its only gotten worse. And apparently all the contractors Google let go recently were from Youtube Music. Shows how much the company cares about building a great product.
