Yesterday my SiriusXM quit streaming to all my speakers. Speakers acknowledges Google commands (eg: streaming 60s Gold from SiriusXM) then nothing. I have done ALL of the usual work arounds. Anyone else have this issue? Could not find any recent reports on this. My speakers are all Home and Nest minis.

I was able to say Hey Google stream cnbc on sirius and get the display to stream, but it stopped working today. Tried rebooting the display, the phone and unlinking/linking sirius. No luck so far. Everything else seems to work.

Same here

I've been having the same sort of trouble. It started yesterday. I ask Goole... "Play Sirius XM 60's Gold" then Google will respond..."Streaming 60's Gold on Sirius XM" but it doesn't stream anything. It just stays silent. I've tried this with other Sirius stations and get the same results. All other Google Home stations stream properly but not Sirius XM. I've rebooted the device, the modem/router but nothing and also unlinked then relinked Sirius on my Google Home app. The XM phone app works, and both my cars work too. Just the Google Home devices. Anyone with ideas let us know.

Same problem here since Tuesday.
I just telephoned SiriusXM. They confirmed my account is correct and that I am linked in Google Home to SiriusXM.
My smart speakers say they are playing the channel I request from SiriusXM, the Google Home app says it is playing audio, but nothing coming out of the speaker. I can stream YouTube Music fine.
The problem is isolated to Google Home and SiriusXM paying accounts.

I'm having exactly the same problem as described by all the messagews above.

FYI, I have contacted Sirius XM about this problem and they informed me that other users have reported this and they are escalating their troubleshooting into this matter and hopefully it will be resolved soon

Same issue here. Request google to stream sirius xm station. Repeats it back, then nothing. All other commands work though

Service restored to both my Google Nest speaker and hub.
Google put another quarter in their jukebox.

I just want to add to this feed that Sirius has corrected the problem. I have en in touch with them regarding this issue and they elevated the problem to their tech dept. Sirius just called me back and informed me that the problem has been resolbved and corrected. I'm guessing you all will have this correction. I was told to get it working again is reboot (unplug) each of your Google Home devices wait 10 seconds then plug it in again. All should work after that. I rebooted two of my speakers and they worked fine with Sirius. I also tested just trying an unbooted speaker and they work too. To be safe boot then enjoy. Hope all works as well for all as well as it did for me.

I just rebooted my Nest. No change. Still shows that it is connecting to Sirius, but not able to download the song.

After several minutes of no music, all of a sudden the music finally started playing!
04-27-2023 04:17 PM
My Nest Mini is streaming SiriusXM with no problem now!
04-27-2023 04:18 PM
The issue seems to resolved for me now.

Mine keeps coming and going, give a voice command and it works. Rebuilt the routine I use, nothing working. Go back to voice command, nothing,
04-27-2023 05:50 PM
Hell yes, same issue.

I have a subscription to SiriusXM and when I bought a new car, I had a trial for 3 months. Now that trial has ended where my paid subscription took over. Get it fine over my car radio. I cannot get it to play on my Google mini. It says that my trial subscription has ended and or that I can no longer listen to the radio station that I wish to hear. So I tried another radio station and I get the same message! What is the issue and how can we get this fixed without having to jump through a million hoops?
04-28-2023 10:09 AM
I got it figured out. I actually went in using the app on my phone and "unlinked" my SiriusXM and relinked it back up. Now it works. Yeah!

All Issues have been resolved. I waited 24 hours before replying. I don't root cause or where the issue was (Google or SiriusXM) . However it is working as expected.

The root cause lied with Sirius. I was in touch with them and their techs handled the problem

I just hard reset my JBL sound bar and I can hear music again. Try unplugging for 20 sec and let your system reconnect to WiFi.

I say “ hey Google. Stream radio margariteville Sirius XM “ Google: “Voice commands are not available for that app. “ Does that for all stations on Sirius. That’s not good customer experience. But I can cast from my phone to the speaker. Awkward work around. I’ve unplugged & plugged back in. Reset etc. Still won’t heed voice command for Sirius. Fix it, please!

I can only play certain stations others say it’s not available but if I keep saying it sometimes it’ll work. I called and they couldn’t figure it out. Said to call tech. I need a number. This is absolutely frustrating!!

Same problem, since the latest forced Google Home update, Nest Audio can no longer play anything requested of SiriusXM. I was on the phone with Google Support for 1/2 an hour, those folks are clueless.
Can somebody please remind us why we bought Nest Audio in the first place?
06-17-2023 05:16 AM
I think the upgrade to the new Google operating system being deployed to all Nest devices has gone sideways and folks like SiriusXM are trying to figure out how to fix it.
So much for a test environment before deploying technology.
06-17-2023 10:30 AM
My experience was a Google Home thing, and not a SiriusXM thing.

Hi folks,
Thanks for all the details you shared. From which country are you all contacting us? Does it happen to all stations or just specific ones?
I look forward to your responses.

USA
UPDATE on 06/16/2023, regarding the problem with Google Assistant not Playing any channels from SiriusXM on my Nest Audio Speakers after the most recent Google Home Update:
I changed the Google Assistant "voice setting" from English (Australian), to English (United States), now I can request of Google Assistant to play any/all channels from SiriusXM on my updated Google Home structure, and all the music plays just fine, just like it did before the most recent Google Home update I received on 06/03/2023
After two weeks with this problem, and finding nobody within this community that was able to provide a fix, I was finally able to locate someone at "Google Tech Support" who knew what he was doing, made the time to help, and went out of his way to help me solve the problem. His name is "Albert", he saved the day.
Thank you Albert.

Thanks.
Country-based restriction, priceless. Never mind the fact my Goggle Home has my country listed, and the Google devices in my Google Home.

Hi folks,
iRzapper, I’m glad it’s resolved now. If you need further help, let me know.
shdawson, understood. Since it is specific to other radio stations try to reboot your Nest speakers and observe if it will make a difference.

Juni

Thank you Juni,
All is good now, as I posted in my update.
Much h appreciated.

The problem still exists after restarting the speaker. The channel plays one song then stops instead of advancing to the next song.
06-20-2023 05:09 AM
I am in the US.
It works for live stream such as Bloomberg or Fox News. It does not work for The Sleep Channel. I have not checked other recorded channels on SiriusXM. I am frustrated enough to give up on SiriusXM and Google. Figure out The Sleep Channel first, then we can look at other channels to confirm functionality. I have been playing The Sleep Channel for a year. Did not advance to next song last night after first song. This problem has been occurring for over three weeks now.

Hi ddfed,
I had a similar problem with regards to SiriusXM not playing on any of my Nest Audio Speakers, starting after the most recent google home update (for me that was on 6/03/2023), after much anguish and no solutions provided from this community (or google support), I finally found some one to help and solve the problem, not sure if it will help you too?
The problem was not caused by SiriusXM at all, it was strictly a Google Assistant issue
For me, I had to switch the Google Assistant voice settings from English (Australian), to English (United States), and that solved the problem I was having. Now all is good and I can play anything from SiriusXM once again.
06-16-2023 11:55 AM
Hmmm....no play. I am having play but not advancing to the next song. Clearly, there is a significant bug in the Google Nest firmware world.
